Cell phone companies, airlines, noth side diners: here at Mission Creek, we tend to think that competiition is a good thing for the consumer.  That’s why I’m heading down right now for a cup of coffee at the Bluebird Diner and some handmade goods at the Craft & Fancy Craft Fair, going on at Home Ec. True, it won’t be nearly as dark or nearly as punk as next week’s What a Load of Craft, but it will have the same kind of quality, DiY, handmade goods that you desire. This is Christmas shopping paradise, and you’ll be supporting the hard work of local crafters. It’s going down from 10-5pm today and 12-5 tomorrow, so come in and browse while you wait for a table at the Bluebird, or that other north side diner.  Be on the look out foor my friend Carrie McCLean, who will be exhibiting her stuff, which you can follow year-round on her craft blog.  Sew awesome!
